How to convert text case

  1. Paste or type text into the input editor.
  2. Select the case style you need from the buttons.
  3. Check the converted result and copy or download it.
  4. Choose Use as input when you want to run another conversion on the result.

Choosing the right text case

Sentence case works well for regular prose, while title case suits headlines. Upper and lower case make broad changes without removing punctuation. camelCase and PascalCase are widely used for identifiers in code; snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE are useful for variables, URLs, filenames and configuration values.

How developer case conversion handles text

The converter identifies words separated by spaces, underscores, hyphens or a change from lowercase to uppercase. It then removes punctuation and joins the words according to the selected programming convention.

Always review title case for names, brands and specialist terminology. Automated capitalisation cannot know every editorial exception.

Questions answered

Frequently asked questions

What case styles can I convert text to?

The converter supports sentence, title, upper, lower, camel, Pascal, snake, kebab and constant case. These cover common writing, filename and programming conventions.

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?

camelCase begins with a lowercase word, while PascalCase capitalises the first word too. For example, “free text tool” becomes “freeTextTool” or “FreeTextTool”.

Does the converter preserve punctuation?

Sentence, title, upper and lower case preserve punctuation and spacing. Developer-oriented modes extract words and join them with the convention’s required capitals, underscores or hyphens.

Is the text sent to a server?

No. Conversion and copying happen locally in your browser, so pasted text is not uploaded to Sarvalaya.
